The Stockton Singers
The Stockton Singers, directed by Ric Campero, requires no audition and is perfect for first-time singers and those looking for a more relaxed choral experience. No audition is required. The Stockton Singers perform throughout the community of Stockton supporting events and reaching audiences who may have limited access to attend evening concerts, in addition to participating in the Chorale’s holiday and spring concerts.
2024-25 Season Dues: $125 per semester, or $250 for the season.
We don’t want to exclude singers because of finances. We have a scholarship fund to help with some expenses, for more information please contact the Chorale Office.
Rehearsals
Location: Central United Methodist Church, Choir Room, Stockton. Our first rehearsal of the 2024-25 season will by Tuesday, September 3, at 5:30 pm.
Meet the Conductor
Ric Campero is a graduate of the University of the Pacific, Conservatory of Music in Stockton. Mr. Campero was a dedicated music educator, teaching choir and band at Ceres Unified Schools for nearly 30 years. He also serves as the Chancel Choir director at Central United Methodist church in Stockton. Mr. Campero is well known locally and abroad for his lyrical tenor vocal performances, and is also in demand as a music adjudicator and guest conductor. Health and Wellness Policy for ALL Groups:
COVID-19 still presents health challenges to our community, especially among singers where airborne atomized particles are present. In following the guidelines of the CDC, please note the following revisions and expectations for the health and welfare of all members.
- Proof of vaccination is no longer required. We strongly recommend all singers be vaccinated and schedule the appropriate boosters according to public health guidelines.
- Mask wearing at rehearsals and performances remain optional unless you are recovering from COVID 19. Masks will be available at each rehearsal.
- All singers shall rigorously apply the Self-Attestation requirements prior to each rehearsal and/or performance.
- If you are sick, stay home. COVID 19, influenza, RSV share many of the symptoms of the common cold: When in doubt, stay out.
- Many health insurance programs still provide COVID-19 tests free of charge. If you have a cold, we recommend you take a COVID 19 home test to confirm you do not have COVID, and stay home until your symptoms improve.
- If you test positive for COVID, you must inform the Chorale Office so the appropriate group(s) can be notified.
- Hand sanitizer must be used prior to entering the rehearsal or performance venue.
- The Stockton Chorale shall comply with infectious disease requirements of rehearsal or performance venues.
